About the role

Our imaging teams are a committed, caring group of professionals. We are currently seeking a Florida-licensed MRI Technologist on a PRN basis who will perform procedures in a compassionate and respectful manner. Please note our facility is a Level II Trauma Center which requires availability for rotating call assignments.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate a strong and thorough knowledge of all MRI (and associated) equipment.
• Obtain high-quality MR images, assuring only optimal films are submitted for interpretation.
• Facilitate the procedure by selecting proper technical factors/techniques to accommodate all patients and select, prepare, and administer the appropriate contrast material if ordered.
• Prepare, transfer, and position patients as needed ensuring modesty, safely utilizing auxiliary equipment and/or devices indicated.
• Document all pertinent clinical information prior to exam, obtain informed consent, and complete all required fields within MEDITECH accurately and on time.
• Maintain proactive and effective communication with patients and other caregiver colleagues to include the radiologist.
• Monitor the operation of the equipment, maintain cleanliness of table/equipment to prevent cross-contamination of contagious diseases, and keep the room stocked with necessary supplies.
• Accept on-call and call-back responsibilities as needed to provide optimum patient care.

Requirements

• Vocational/Technical school.
• Current ARRT registry.
• Clear/active Florida Department of Health licensure (CRT).
• 1-3 years of experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Organizational, verbal, interpersonal, customer relation, mathematical, analytical, grammar/spelling, computer, and clerical skills are necessary.
• Ability to read/comprehend written instructions as well as follow verbal instructions.
