Baptist Health is seeking an MRI Technologist to join our Pediatric MRI Department at Wolfson Children's Hospital. This role involves performing MRI exams on patients, ensuring high-quality diagnostic procedures and patient safety, and working closely with Radiologists and other healthcare professionals.

About the role

You will prepare patients for MRI exams, explain procedures, operate MRI equipment, and maintain compliance with mandatory education and health requirements. You will also take precautions to protect patients and others from potential harm related to the magnetic field, and administer medications as prescribed by a licensed practitioner.

Responsibilities

  • Perform high-quality MRI procedures.
  • Promote goodwill among coworkers and other departments.
  • Maintain a positive, comforting demeanor with all patients.
  • Identify, prepare, administer, and document medications as prescribed by a licensed practitioner in accordance with state and federal regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with mandatory education and health requirements.

Requirements

  • Vocational School or Associate's Degree.
  • One of the following certifications:
    • American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT), or
    • Registered Technologist in Radiography ARRT (R), or
    • Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT), or
    • Registered Technologist in Magnetic Resonance Imaging ARRT (MR).
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certification (CPR) / Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS).
  • If CRT or ARRT (R), must obtain ARRT (MRI) registry within 18 months.
  • Customer service experience.
  • Experience in a radiology department, hospital setting, or imaging.
  • MRI Technologist experience.
  • Valid driver’s license.

Schedule

Full-time, Weekday Afternoon shifts: Monday–Friday, 14:30–23:00, with rotating weekends.
