MRI Technologist - Part Time Evenings

About the role

Perform MRI exams using appropriate imaging equipment, verify patient identity, review medical records, and assess risk factors.

Responsibilities

• Explain procedures to patients
• Set up equipment and acquire images
• Review and document images
• Communicate findings to radiologists
• Recognize and respond to medical emergencies
• Provide post-care instructions
• Participate in quality improvement activities such as patient flow and satisfaction initiatives
• Offer imaging education to residents, students, and new staff
• May take call or standby as required

Requirements

• Registered by ARRT in Radiology (R) or MRI (MR) or ARMRIT
• At least one year of radiologic technologist experience
• Must complete AHA BLS training by end of orientation

Skills

• Knowledge of MRI procedures and patient assessment
• Emergency response and process improvement
• Excellent communication and teaching abilities
