About the role
The MRI Technologist performs high quality MRI scans while delivering excellent patient care. Key Responsibilities include:
- Perform MRI scans on patients utilizing existing radiologist devised protocols
- Provide excellent patient care & customer service to all patients being scanned
- Administer IV contrast to MRI patients when requested by requisition/script
- Able to work both independently and as a team-player. Must be flexible with schedule
- Perform Weekly ACR mandated quality control on MRI scanner
- Aid with image acquisition for ACR submissions
- Interact with radiologists when necessary regarding protocols & special applications
- Ensure MRI scan room is safely secured from general public & non-screened employees
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment
- Maintain ARRT License/ARMRIT certification by adhering to CEU responsibilities
- Complete Daily Totals Sheet
- Initial & verify charge tickets are matched to authorization & script
- All other duties as assigned by supervisor and/or manager
- Report Statistics to MRI supervisor
- Submit peer review on a monthly basis
- Assure compliance with all company plans, policies and procedures set forth by the Florida Orthopaedic Institute
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- ARRT certification or ARMRIT certification
- Siemens and/or Toshiba Orthopedic experience required
- BLS Certification required within 90 days of employment
