About the role
MRI Technologist I responsible for performing magnetic resonance imaging procedures to assist in diagnosis and research.
Responsibilities
- Obtain correct orders
- Identify and prepare patients
- Utilize appropriate imaging protocols
- Evaluate image quality
- Ensure data is properly stored and transferred
- Administer medications as prescribed
- Assist with interventional procedures
- Educate patients and healthcare providers
- Apply MRI safety principles to minimize risks and participate in safety assessments
- Select pulse sequences considering protocols and data acquisition factors
- Assist licensed practitioners and perform imaging as prescribed
Qualifications & Skills
- Graduate of a radiologic technology program
- Certification from ARRT, NMTCB, or ARMRIT required upon hire
- Advanced certification within 24 months for new applicants
- Knowledge of MRI safety, technical imaging principles, and patient care
- Ability to educate others and work independently in a clinical environment
