Responsibilities
- Perform complex MRI protocols across neuro, MSK, spine, chest, abdomen, and vascular imaging.
- Operate superconductive MRI units and related imaging accessories.
- Follow strict MRI and radiation safety procedures and report safety issues.
- Verify patient identity, screen for contraindications (e.g., pregnancy), explain procedures.
- Set technical factors and conduct MRI scans; edit and ensure image quality.
- Document exams in DHCP system; maintain records of images and settings.
- Prepare MRI suite, maintain sterile supplies, contrast, catheters, etc.
- Provide routine and complex diagnostic exams; troubleshoot equipment issues.
- Provide portable imaging when required; maintain exam room cleanliness.
- Participate in on-call rotation and follow DIS after-hours procedures.
Qualifications
- Completion of accredited radiologic technology program.
- ARRT certification in Diagnostic Radiology and MRI specialty certification.
- Current BLS certification.
- Minimum 2 years diagnostic radiology experience.
- Must have worked as an MRI Tech in a hospital setting within the past 6 months.
- Minimum availability of 6 months after start date.
- Must carry professional liability insurance.
