About the role
Performs all mammographic procedures according to the Department Procedure Manual. Applies appropriate patient care and recognizes patient conditions essential for successful completion of radiologic procedures. Maintains all quality assurance records/controls required by ACR, the State, and other credentialing organizations. Ensures proper anatomical orientation and identification on all images. Practices radiation safety using ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) principles.
Responsibilities
- Perform mammographic procedures following department protocols.
- Maintain quality assurance records and controls as required by accrediting bodies.
- Identify proper anatomical orientation and ensure accurate image identification.
- Apply radiation safety principles (ALARA).
- Adhere to Radiology Partners policies, including compliance, HIPAA, OSHA, licensing, and accreditation guidelines.
- Demonstrate a results-oriented approach to delivering accurate and timely services.
Requirements
- Graduate of an AMA Council of Education-approved radiologic technology program.
- Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (A.R.R.T.).
- State certification by the Texas Medical Board (T.M.B.).
- Ability to work efficiently and courteously with clinical personnel and patients.
