MRI Technologist - Magnetic Resonance Imaging

About the role

Under the general supervision of the MRI Supervisor and the Manager Diagnostic Imaging, the MRI Technologist will perform a variety of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) examinations using proper MRI safety practices. The role involves conducting MRI procedures according to accepted department protocols and hospital policies for patients of all age groups for diagnostic purposes. The MRI Technologist will assist radiologists and referring physicians, work closely with other modalities, inpatient and outpatient MRI departments, and serve as a liaison to scheduling and referring physician offices.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of MRI procedures according to department, hospital, and regulatory agency standards.
• Adhere to proper MRI safety practices.
• Assist radiologists and referring physicians as needed during MRI procedures.
• Collaborate with radiologists, other modalities, inpatient and outpatient MRI departments.
• Serve as a liaison to scheduling and referring physician offices.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree and/or equivalent education/experience in Radiologic Technology and/or Magnetic Resonance Imaging.
• Maintain continuing education hours necessary to renew license/certification.
• Upon hire: National Registered Technologist - Magnetic Resonance Imaging or National Certified MRI Technologist - American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists.
• Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.

Preferred Qualifications

• California Radiologic Technologist License (CRT).
• 2 years post certification experience.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $48.79 - $75.74 per hour. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.

Schedule
