About the role

The Imaging Department at Newark Hospital is seeking a Full-Time flex MRI Technologist to join our dynamic team. This position offers a competitive salary range of $41.15 to $56.58 per hour, along with comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, 403(b) with an employer match, and generous paid time off.

Responsibilities

• Performs MRI procedures as defined by departmental protocols
• Accurately enters patient data into RIS, HIS, and Intergy computer systems
• Transmits optimum quality images to PACS system
• Adequately obtains and documents patient histories
• Performs Quality Control (QC) and digitizes films
• Provides superior customer service to patients, family members, and healthcare team members
• Safely performs assigned tasks, adhering to departmental safety rules and practices
• Reports unsafe activities, conditions, hazards, or violations to supervisor promptly
• Demonstrates skills and knowledge to care for neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients

Requirements

• Completion of ARRT registry required (successful completion of MRI Registry exam is a job requirement)
• Completion of a 2-year associate degree program in Radiology
• 2 years' experience as an MRI Technologist preferred
• Experience with Siemens products preferred

Pay

This position pays between $41.15 to $56.58 per hour.

Schedule

Friday/Saturday/Sunday - 12 hr day/eve shifts

Sign On Bonus

Eligible candidates can receive a $7,500.00 sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

Preference will be given to candidates who are certified in MRI.
