About the role

Experienced MRI Technologists and recent graduates are encouraged to apply. Schedule

Full-time, 40 hours per week with a rotating weekend commitment:

  • Two (2) twelve (12) hour shifts: 11:00am - 11:30pm
  • Two (2) eight (8) hour shifts: 2:30pm - 11:00pm
  • Weekend rotation required: work every third weekend, consisting of Saturday and Sunday shifts from 2:30 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains accountability for patient safety throughout the imaging process, including screening, preparation, monitoring, and post-procedure care.
  • Produces diagnostic-quality images using approved protocols and professional standards.
  • Applies professional judgment within approved protocols to optimize image quality and address imaging challenges.
  • Reviews images prior to exam completion and initiates corrective action when diagnostic adequacy is not met.
  • Administers contrast in accordance with policy, including screening for contraindications and patient monitoring (as applicable).
  • Performs MRI safety screening, including implant and foreign body evaluation, and ensures appropriate clearance prior to exposure to the magnetic field.
  • Enforces controlled access and safe practices within the MRI environment.
  • Operates imaging equipment and maintains imaging room readiness; identifies equipment performance issues and initiates follow-up through established service processes.
  • Coordinates exam flow and prioritizes time-sensitive studies.
  • Maintains accurate and timely documentation in EPIC and Visage, including exam set-up, image routing, result availability, and charging accuracy.
  • Adheres to organizational values, ethical standards, certifications, and compliance requirements.
  • Ensures a positive patient experience throughout care delivery.
  • Supports department initiatives to improve relationships, reliability, efficiency, and growth.
  • Supports additional responsibilities aligned with patient care and department needs.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technologist Program
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) or American Registry of MRI Technologist (ARMRIT)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
