About the Role

The MRI technologist performs magnetic resonance procedures, demonstrating knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, pharmacology, and magnetic safety. They serve as the primary communication link between patients and radiologists, utilizing professional judgment and critical thinking to contribute responsibly to the healthcare team.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Graduate from an accredited program in Radiology Technology, Nuclear Medicine, Diagnostic Medical Sonography, or Radiation Therapy, with advanced MRI training and certification.
  • Preferred minimum of two years' experience as a staff technologist; MRI-specific experience or certification is advantageous, with cross-training provided if needed.
  • Competency in radiography, MRI safety, anatomy, and IV therapy; strong communication, manual dexterity, and safety awareness.
  • Must hold advanced MRI registry/certification from the ARRT and BLS certification; if cross-trained or internship-based, MRI registry must be obtained within six months of training.
