About the role
Banner Imaging is seeking a MRI Technologist for a full‑time float position based out of Sun City, AZ. This role offers the unique opportunity to work across multiple imaging sites, gaining exposure to a variety of MRI equipment.
Responsibilities
- Perform high‑quality MRI examinations
- Ensure patient safety and compliance with ACR and Banner Imaging protocols
- Maintain accurate documentation
- Collaborate closely with site leaders and MRI leadership to deliver exceptional patient care
- Perform procedures by following and verifying referring providers’ orders; use independent judgment and apply learned methodologies according to established policy and procedures
- Educate patients/families regarding procedure and/or treatment to be performed
- Demonstrate professional behavior/conduct in all interactions; foster teamwork, efficient use of resources and quality patient outcomes
- Produce high quality images and prepare/present them with other pertinent patient information for timely interpretation
- Prepare and maintain accurate documentation
- Demonstrate competence in performing prescribed invasive/interventional procedures if applicable in accordance with established policies
- Perform and evaluate equipment quality control measurements; demonstrate the ability to troubleshoot and notify appropriate personnel to maintain equipment performance
- Maintain a safe environment for patients, personnel, and visitors; adhere to safety policies
- Accountable for the ethical, legal, and professional responsibilities related to the radiology practice, including maintaining confidentiality of all work information
- Assure the efficient operation of workflow of the department
- Monitor and maintain an adequate inventory of supplies and material to ensure non-interruption of services
- Independently perform prescribed procedures in accordance with department/facility policies, procedures and protocols
Requirements
- National certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and/or modality qualified licensure (NMTCB, ARDMS, ARMRIT)
- Licensure by the state regulatory agency, as applicable
- Advanced certification by accrediting body in MRI required within 18 months of hire
- BLS certification required

Schedule
Full‑time “Float” MRI position, 40 hours/week. Hours are either 6:30‑5:00 pm (10‑hour shift) or 6:30‑8 pm (13‑hour shift). Days and locations vary, including rotating Saturdays (minimum 2 per month), with a 30‑minute lunch break each day. MRI scheduled hours are subject to change due to volumes.
