  • Gig Harbor (1.0 FTE): Tuesday-Wednesday 6:30am-3:00pm (8hr shifts) + Thursday-Friday 6:30am-7:00pm (12hr shifts) - Siemens Aera
  • Tacoma (1.0 FTE): Monday, Friday 6:30am-3:00pm (8hr shifts) + Saturday-Sunday 6:30am-7:00pm (12hr shifts) - Siemens Symphony, Fuji Oasis Open MRI
  • Puyallup (0.9 FTE): Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday 6:30am-7:00pm (12hr shifts) - Siemens Aera, GE Explorer
  • Puyallup (0.9 FTE): Saturday-Monday 6:30am-7:00pm (12hr shifts) - Siemens Aera, GE Explorer
  • Puyallup (1.0 FTE): Monday-Friday, 10:30am-7:00pm (8hr shifts) - Siemens Aera, GE Explorer
  • Bonney Lake (1.0 FTE): Monday-Friday, 7:00am-3:30pm (8hr shifts) - Siemens Espree

Responsibilities

  • Performs MR functions in accordance with ARRT or ARMRIT standards and ethics
  • Prepares patients for MR exams with thorough explanations of the procedures and clear instructions
  • Utilizes Hitachi Open MRI and Siemens Symphony scanners
  • Obtains a thorough patient history as it relates to the exam to be completed
  • Accurately implements the orders of the referring physician, producing images with minimum repeatability
  • Performs IV punctures
  • Performs necessary computer functions associated with patient exams (PACS)
  • Keeps work area and patient exam areas neat and stocked with appropriate supplies
  • Participates in orientation and in-service training for personnel
  • Checks work email daily
  • Performs all other related duties as assigned

Requirements

  • ARRT (MR) Registered, or ARMRIT Registry required
  • Must meet qualifications to apply for Washington State MR Technologist Certification
  • Current BLS certification required

Physical Requirements

  • Work is classified as moderate in physical requirements
  • Must be able to assist in supporting patients of varying weight
  • Ability to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods of time
  • Reaching by extending hand(s) or arm(s) in any direction
  • Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator, and other office equipment

  • Ability to handle mentally stressful situations
  • Maintains a high level of sensitivity towards confidential information
