About the Role
Performs magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) procedures at a technical level, ensuring patient safety and quality imaging.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and position patients for MRI exams, explain procedures, and answer questions.
- Conduct neuro, body, and extremity MRI scans following radiologist protocols.
- Administer IV contrast and perform venous access as needed.
- Enter data into radiology systems and process images accurately.
- Identify anatomy on images and perform equipment quality control tests.
- Report equipment issues and collaborate with team members on supply management.
- Act as a radiology liaison, supporting physicians and referring problems appropriately.
- Handle non-controlled medications during procedures.
Requirements
- Certification by ARRT or ARMRIT in MRI, and NMTCB or ARRT-MR certification.
- Graduate of a specialty training program.
Skills
- Knowledge of MRI safety, imaging procedures, and anatomy.
- Ability to operate imaging and information systems, perform quality checks, and communicate effectively with patients and staff.
- Commitment to safety, excellence, and continuous learning in a clinical environment.
