TYPICAL PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS:
- Willingness to participate in call rotation and weekend shifts
- Medium to very heavy physical demand (lifting and moving patients 100 to 300 lbs)
- Ability to work independently and with patients, hospital staff, and physicians
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Required: Associate or bachelor's degree from an accredited Radiology program
- ARRT registered; with required competencies and certification in MRI, or eligible to sit for certification within 6 months of hire
- Maintains current OBMI licensure and has qualifications and experience determined to be adequate by Director of department and lead technologist to operate equipment and evaluate images obtained
- Preferred: 1 year or more experience in MRI
- Certs: Current OBMI and ARRT licenses with specialty in MRI
COMPETENCY IN EQUIPMENT OPERATION AND APPLICATIONS:
- Ability to troubleshoot
- Perform MRI procedures at a tech level in accordance with protocols
- Maintain proper quality control procedures
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements relating to MRI exams and equipment
- Knowledge of basic patient care and activities that may be necessary during exam
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, medical staff and leadership teams
- Maintain a safe and appropriate work area
- Maintain inventory of supplies
- Adhere to Sky Lakes work practices and policies
- Document work processes as required
- Maintain education to stay current with technologies and best practices
- Participate in tech and student training, as well as MRI safety training
- Maintain accurate patient records in PACS and EMR systems
- Absorb and implement new protocols or MR Imaging techniques
