MRI Technologist - DI CT MRI - FT .9 VARYING SHIFTS

TYPICAL PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS:

  • Willingness to participate in call rotation and weekend shifts
  • Medium to very heavy physical demand (lifting and moving patients 100 to 300 lbs)
  • Ability to work independently and with patients, hospital staff, and physicians

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Required: Associate or bachelor's degree from an accredited Radiology program
  • ARRT registered; with required competencies and certification in MRI, or eligible to sit for certification within 6 months of hire
  • Maintains current OBMI licensure and has qualifications and experience determined to be adequate by Director of department and lead technologist to operate equipment and evaluate images obtained
  • Preferred: 1 year or more experience in MRI
  • Certs: Current OBMI and ARRT licenses with specialty in MRI

COMPETENCY IN EQUIPMENT OPERATION AND APPLICATIONS:

  • Ability to troubleshoot
  • Perform MRI procedures at a tech level in accordance with protocols
  • Maintain proper quality control procedures
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements relating to MRI exams and equipment
  • Knowledge of basic patient care and activities that may be necessary during exam

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, medical staff and leadership teams
  • Maintain a safe and appropriate work area
  • Maintain inventory of supplies
  • Adhere to Sky Lakes work practices and policies
  • Document work processes as required
  • Maintain education to stay current with technologies and best practices
  • Participate in tech and student training, as well as MRI safety training
  • Maintain accurate patient records in PACS and EMR systems
  • Absorb and implement new protocols or MR Imaging techniques
