About the role
HCA Florida South Shore Hospital is seeking an MRI Technologist to join their dedicated imaging team. This position works on a rotating schedule of Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 7a.m. to 7p.m., with no call required.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate a strong and thorough knowledge of all MRI and associated equipment
- Obtain high-quality MR images assuring only optimal films are submitted for interpretation
- Facilitate the MRI procedure by selecting proper technical factors/techniques to accommodate all patients and select, prepare and administer the appropriate contrast material
- Prepare, transfer and position patients as needed ensuring modesty, safely utilizing auxiliary equipment and/or devices indicated
- Document all pertinent clinical information prior to exam, obtain informed consent, and complete all required fields within MEDITECH accurately and on time
- Maintain proactive and effective communication with patient and other caregiver colleagues to include the radiologist(s)
- Check the operation of the equipment, maintain cleanliness of table/equipment to prevent cross-contamination of contagious diseases and keep room stocked with necessary supplies
- Accept on-call and call-back responsibilities as needed to provide optimum patient care
Qualifications
- Registered by the American Registry or Radiologic Technologist – ARRT (MR)
- Licensed Radiologic Technologist, State of Florida, Department of Health - CRT
- 1 year previous experience as a MRI Tech (preferred)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Pay
$25.00 - $30.00 per hour based on experience
