About the role
The MR Technologist I is responsible for assisting physicians during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures by preparing patients and operating MRI equipment to obtain quality scans.
Qualifications
- Educational background: 2-year/Associate Degree preferred; graduate from ARRT-approved Radiography or MR Program required.
- Experience: Minimum of one year in MR preferred.
- Licensure/Certification: ARRT registration in MR (RT(R)(MR) or RT(MR)), certified and registered within 6 months of hire; applicable state license; IV credentialed; life support training per policy.
Skills
- Thorough knowledge of MRI equipment, analytical skills, and basic computer proficiency.
- Ability to interpret patient information to address age-specific care needs.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with patients and staff.
