MRI Technologist, Certified - Swings, Graves, Nights and Weekends

Responsibilities

• Scans patients according to protocols and parameters with knowledge of troubleshooting MRI systems.
• Archives patient exams.
• Confidently starts IV’s.
• Adapts to different MRI environments (1.5T MRI machines, 3T MRI machines, and MRI machines) in the operating rooms.
• Functions in different patient monitoring systems throughout the organization.
• Follows MRI safety guidelines according to organization policy.

• Ability to perform the essential functions of the job as outlined above.
• Demonstrated human relation and effective communication skills.
• Ability to provide care appropriate to the population served.

Qualifications

• Current RQI Healthcare Provider eCredential through the University of Utah Health RQI system. The eCredential is to be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• One of the following:
  • ARRT Registration as Magnetic Resonance Imaging R.T. (MR) (ARRT).
  • MRI Technologist Certification from the American Registry for Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT).
• Additional license requirements as determined by the hiring department.

Preferred Qualifications

• Three (3) years of technical MRI experience.

Shift Differentials Offered:

• Weekday Evening (1500 to 2259): $3.50
• Weekday Night (2300 to 0730): $5.00
• Weekend Day (0700 to 1459, Saturdays and Sundays): $3.00
• Weekend Evening (1500 to 2259, Saturdays and Sundays): $5.00
• Weekend Night (2300 to 0730, Friday and Saturday nights): $6.50
