• Operate magnetic resonance imaging equipment to produce images of the body for diagnostic purposes.
• Perform complex tasks associated with the operation of high field strength magnets and related equipment.
• Screen patients for MR safety prior to procedure performance.
• Avoid moving or lifting patients.
• Assist radiologist with procedure performance.
• Evaluate MR scans for technical quality, collate processed images and sequence of exposure and label appropriately.
• Schedule patients for procedures; assist with clerical functions.
• Maintain accurate patient records.
• Provide education and training for new hire technologists.
• Coordinate scheduling and patient flow.

Associate degree in radiologic technology, radiology, or a related field. Appropriate state licensure. Proven experience working as an X-ray/MRI technician. Ability to move or lift patients. Ability to stand for extended periods. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Effective written and verbal communication skills. A patient and compassionate disposition.

$42.00-$52.00 an hour

Hours vary based on department needs.
