Responsibilities
- Perform magnetic resonance imaging procedures as prescribed by a physician.
- Instruct patients on the proper physiological requirements for the procedure.
- Ascertain whether there are any contradictions to the patient entering a magnetic field (e.g., staples, pacemakers, magnetic prostheses, etc.).
- Assist in positioning patients for exams and administering contrast agents.
- Ensure all necessary consent forms are signed before performing examinations.
- Process all pertinent exam-related information, including direct computer entry as directed.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work area while complying with OSHA and HIPAA requirements.
- Recognize and respond to reactions to contrast media, providing CPR if necessary.
- Comply with policies and procedures of the Corporation.
- Report any equipment issues to the appropriate personnel.
- Promote a team approach and maintain a positive image of Washington Radiology.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding patient information and corporate business.
Requirements
- Graduation from high school or equivalent and completion of a training program in imaging technology from an accredited school.
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists or American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging.
- Certified in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation within 90 days of employment and renew certification annually.
- Licensed by the state for working in Maryland and Virginia offices.
- Able to lift and move patients as required.

Pay
Hourly rate commensurate with experience.
Schedule
Full-time, Monday-Friday, 2:30pm-8pm.
Sign-On Bonus
Up to $7,500 available for current qualified MRI Technologists (ARRT (MR) or AMRIT).
