MRI Technologist
About the role
Performs a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgment, conducts and performs MRI examinations, and assumes responsibility for designated areas or procedures as described or required.
Responsibilities
- Conducts MRI examinations independently, using clinical judgment and knowledge of imaging techniques and equipment.
- Assumes responsibility for designated areas or procedures as described or required.
- Ensures patient safety and comfort during examinations.
- Monitors patient vital signs and reports any abnormalities to supervisory personnel.
- Documents patient information accurately and promptly in medical records.
- Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Requirements
- Satisfactory completion of a formal radiologic technology training program.
- Washington Radiologic Technologist license.
- BLS - American Heart Association certification.
- National Registered Technologist - Radiography - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists certification.
- National Registered Technologist - Magnetic Resonance Imaging - American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists certification, or equivalent.
- 2 years of experience as a radiologic technologist, with one year of experience in an MRI department.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current CPR certification.
- Ability to pass a background check.

- Strong technical skills in MRI procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to follow complex procedures.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Pay
The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
