Role Overview
The MRI technologist provides compassionate patient care while performing MRI examinations under physician supervision to support accurate medical diagnosis and treatment.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure MRI safety protocols are diligently followed for patients, staff, and equipment.
- Select appropriate scanning parameters in coordination with radiologists to obtain high-quality images.
- Properly identify patients, prepare them for exams, and perform procedures according to standard protocols.
- Demonstrate knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and position patients accurately.
- Administer contrast agents and medications as directed by clinicians.
- Maintain competency in clinical and technical functions, adhering to policies for documentation, billing, and EMR workflows.
Qualifications & Skills
- ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT certification, or ARRT(R) with at least 1 year MRI experience.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- IV competency within 30 days of hire.
- Preferred: Bachelor's degree in MRI or Radiologic Science.
- Strong manual dexterity, safe patient handling, effective communication, and ability to operate complex equipment.
Pay
The hourly pay range is $39.16 - $60.42, based on experience.
Schedule
The position is full-time, with scheduled hours on weekends.
