About the role

The MRI Technologist is responsible for performing a range of technical procedures related to Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI).

Responsibilities

• Operates MRI equipment to obtain detailed images, which are essential for physicians in diagnosing and treating medical conditions.
• Independently performs MRI procedures that require a high degree of skill, independent judgment, and initiative.
• Ensures patient safety and maintains a sterile and safe environment by working effectively with patients, ensuring comfort and proper positioning.
• Complies with all hospital and department policies, as well as completes required competencies related to MRI and X-ray.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology Technology with ARRT certification and licensing with the State of Vermont required.
• Registered or Registry Eligible in MRI.
• 1 year experience in diagnostic imaging desired but will consider new graduates with strong skills.

Qualifications

• A comprehensive understanding of MRI safety protocols is essential in this role.

• High degree of skill, independent judgment, and initiative in performing MRI procedures.
• Effective communication and patient care skills.
• Knowledge of MRI safety protocols.
