General Summary
The MRI technologist position is for the North Brandywine Road office. We are a busy MRI department where we perform a variety of general MRI's, mostly orthopedic cases including spines.
Principal Duties And Essential Functions
- Demonstrate professional radiological imaging skills to ensure quality management of all aged patients (adolescent through geriatric).
- Maintain MRI safety, quality control, patient satisfaction, efficiency, and adherence to American College of Radiology guidelines.
- Produce quality MRI imaging, obtain medical history, follow pre-set protocols, and maintain high-quality patient care and safety.
- Communicate the nature of the exam to patients and alleviate their anxiety.
- Demonstrate excellent positioning, imaging technique, imaging equipment knowledge, quality control, and infection control.
Job Requirements
- A. JOB KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
- Knowledge and understanding of general anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
- High level of cross-sectional anatomy, preferred.
- Knowledge and understanding of MRI technology.
- Strong and interactive communication skills.
- Ability to demonstrate initiative, problem-solving, and making sound decisions.
- Strong organizational skills, ability to work independently with exceptional attention to detail.
- B. EDUCATION:
- Graduate of a school of Radiologic Technology.
- Current radiography license in the State of Delaware.
- ARRT registered: board certification in MRI.
- Current BLS Certification, Required.
- C. EXPERIENCE:
- Previous MR experience highly preferred.
