MRI Technologist

General Summary

The MRI technologist position is for the North Brandywine Road office. We are a busy MRI department where we perform a variety of general MRI's, mostly orthopedic cases including spines.

Principal Duties And Essential Functions

• Demonstrate professional radiological imaging skills to ensure quality management of all aged patients (adolescent through geriatric).
• Maintain MRI safety, quality control, patient satisfaction, efficiency, and adherence to American College of Radiology guidelines.
• Produce quality MRI imaging, obtain medical history, follow pre-set protocols, and maintain high-quality patient care and safety.
• Communicate the nature of the exam to patients and alleviate their anxiety.
• Demonstrate excellent positioning, imaging technique, imaging equipment knowledge, quality control, and infection control.

Job Requirements

• A. JOB KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
• Knowledge and understanding of general anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
• High level of cross-sectional anatomy, preferred.
• Knowledge and understanding of MRI technology.
• Strong and interactive communication skills.
• Ability to demonstrate initiative, problem-solving, and making sound decisions.
• Strong organizational skills, ability to work independently with exceptional attention to detail.
• B. EDUCATION:
• Graduate of a school of Radiologic Technology.
• Current radiography license in the State of Delaware.
• ARRT registered: board certification in MRI.
• Current BLS Certification, Required.
• C. EXPERIENCE:
• Previous MR experience highly preferred.
