MRI Technologist
About the role
As an MRI Technologist, you will perform routine MRI exams and procedures on patients of all ages, health backgrounds and conditions. You will ensure they feel comfortable, safe and properly informed throughout the entire process, helping facilitate a welcoming and supportive experience. Responsibilities
- Acquire and review patient questionnaire, chart and data/requisition to determine contraindication of having MRI examination.
- Perform MRI procedures required per protocol and perform daily QA.
- Educate patients regarding MRI procedures, equipment, and exams.
- Ensure patients' comfort and safety during and after the exam.
- Report any malfunctions and observe potential equipment dysfunctions and report problems or calls for service.
- Maintain available equipment up-time at the highest level for patient accessibility.
- Processes billing via RIS.
- Instruct and mentor new hires and Radiology students.
- Attend in-service programs and professional affiliation sessions.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology or graduate of an accredited institution per the primary pathway of the ARRT
- Registered Technologist credentialed by The American Registry of MRI Technologists (ARMRIT) or The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists R.T.(R) (ARRT), or R.T.(S)(ARRT), or R.T.(T)(ARRT), in good standing. Or must be a Registered Technologist credentialed by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists R.T.(N) (ARRT) in good standing or be a Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) through the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (ARDMS and NMTCB are primary pathways)
- Certification in Magnetic Resonance Imaging: R.T.(MR)(ARRT) (required within one year of hire)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross certification
- Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and related pathologic processes
Qualifications
- One year experience as a General Radiologic Technologist or experience in other imaging modalities

- Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously

Pay
Minimum hourly: $35.25 Maximum hourly: $53.00 The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires. A successful candidate’s actual compensation will be determined after taking factors into consideration such as the candidate’s work history, experience, skill set and education. The pay range displayed does not include any applicable pay practices (e.g., shift differentials, overtime, etc.). The pay range does not include the value of Cleveland Clinic’s benefits package (e.g., healthcare, dental and vision benefits, retirement savings account contributions, etc.).

Full Time Shift: Days 6:30am—3:30pm or 11:00am—7:30pm
