MRI Technologist

About the role

We are seeking a(an) MRI Technologist for our team to ensure that we continue to provide all patients with high quality, efficient care.

Responsibilities

• Obtain quality MRI images of patients.
• Complies with radiation safety guidelines.
• Operates MRI equipment safety including screening all patients for contraindications.
• Demonstrates the ability to perform all necessary computer operations.
• Render patient care in a professional and courteous manner.
• Observant of patients’ conditions.
• Prepare MRI scanner and perform quality control tests.
• Administers contrast media as required.
• Reviews each exam for technical accuracy and identifies anatomical orientation on all images.
• Completes and maintains educational requirements.
• Prepares patients, collects relevant information for completion of procedures.
• Understands and operates electronic information systems.
• Participates in Department QA as requested.
• Keeps department neat, orderly and well stocked.
• Ensures patient safety, to include cleaning the bore of the magnet as required.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Vocational School Graduate (ARRT-MR) Magnetic Resonance Imaging, or (ARRT-R) Radiography must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date

Pay

The typical candidate is hired below midpoint of the range. Hourly Wage Estimate: $36.90 - $55.35 / hour
