MRI Technologist Assistant (ROCC)
About the role
The MRI Technologist Assistant will assist the Remote MRI Technologist with patient flow and procedures. This role is based in the Lacey, NJ Office and operates Monday through Friday from 11:30 AM to 8:00 PM.
Responsibilities
- Assists the Remote MRI Technologist with patient flow and procedures.
- Ensures patient safety by performing metal detection and obtaining clinical information.
- Communicates effectively with the Remote MRI Technologist and explains procedures to patients.
- Maintains cleanliness of the patient changing area and MRI scan room.
- Performs vital signs on patients and locates necessary supplies.
- Maintains knowledge of imaging coils and patient positioning.
- Adheres to safety protocols and coordinates patient information and images.
- May lift up to 30 pounds and assist with patient transfers.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Level 2 MR Safety Trained
- CPR Certified
- Medical office experience a plus, but not required
- Knowledge of medical terminology a plus, but not required
Qualifications
- Completion of an approved MR Technologist Assistant program, including hands-on clinical training
- Excellent communication skills
