MRI Technologist - $55 per hour

About the role

Montefiore Medical Center is seeking an MRI Technologist for a position in Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey (also noted as Bronx, NY). The role is a staff position with an evening shift and an alternate work schedule.

Responsibilities

• Enter patient data into Epic and other computer systems.
• Position patients on the scan table correctly.
• Obtain appropriate scout images.
• Set protocols and sequences to obtain high‑quality cross‑sectional images.
• Assist radiologist during biopsy procedures as needed.
• Monitor procedure progression in the control room.
• Operate injector when necessary.
• Photograph, label, process, and display final images for radiologist interpretation.
• Maintain records of image slices, injections, etc.
• Observe radiation safety rules for patients and staff.
• Train other associates and students in MRI procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of assigned area.
• Perform duties of a 4T technologist as needed.
• Perform other related assigned tasks.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Satisfactory completion of a formal radiologic technology training program.
• NYS Registered Radiologic Technologist with Injection.
• ARRT certification in MRI.
• OHS Fit Test/OHS Annual Assessment.
• Experience with MRI systems, radiographic film processor, Epic tracking equipment.

Pay

Hourly rate: $55.14 (hiring rate; may vary with shift differential, experience, education, or other factors).

Schedule

Evening shift; alternate work schedule. Scheduled hours vary, with a daily scheduled length of 7.5 hours. Example shift pattern: Sunday 7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m., Monday–Thursday 12:00 p.m.–8:30 p.m.
