MRI Technician
About the role
Perform high-quality MRI examinations in accordance with physician orders and established imaging protocols.
Prepare, screen, and educate patients prior to MRI procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
Operate MRI equipment and adjust imaging parameters to obtain optimal diagnostic images.
Monitor patients throughout procedures and respond appropriately to any adverse reactions or emergencies.
Maintain MRI safety standards by screening patients for contraindications, implants, and metallic devices.
Administer contrast media when appropriate and within the scope of practice.
Perform routine equipment quality control and report equipment issues as needed.
Accurately document patient information and imaging procedures in the electronic medical record.
Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of recent MRI experience within the specialty.
- No local candidates within 50 miles of the facility.
- Required Certifications: AHA BLS, ARRRT (MRI).
