About the role
Performs Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) procedures, ensuring high-quality imaging and patient care.
Responsibilities
- Operates MRI equipment
- Maintains knowledge of current technology
- Assists patients and physicians
- Trains technical staff on protocols and post-processing techniques
- Keeps updated on new scanning techniques and equipment
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Vocational training
- Graduation from Radiologic Technology School
- An Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology is preferred
Skills & Certifications
- Proficiency in computer software
- Troubleshooting
- Providing physical or psychological support to patients
- Must hold ARRT certification with Florida Radiographer License or ARMRIT MRI certification within 12 months of hire
- BLS certification
Experience
- One to two years in computerized imaging
- Completion of a post-secondary MRI certification program
- Less than one year of experience in Cardiac Imaging is preferred
