About the Role
Provide quality MRI Imaging to patients under the direction of a supervising physician with adherence to the required protocol standards. The Advanced Imaging Center at Sentara Greenbrier HealthPlex offers a convenient, modern option for outpatient radiology procedures, featuring the latest technology and staff radiologists with sub-specialist expertise. Responsibilities
- Administer MRI contrast per protocol
- Evaluate and approve patient MRI safety screening form prior to patient entering scanner
- Demonstrate knowledge of MRI safety zones and other safety regulations
- Review patient records for accuracy and evaluate all implants and devices through vendor resources
- Act as a liaison with physicians and supportive care personnel
- Maintain patient records, reports, and files
- Perform patient MRI exams per protocol and review imaging for accuracy and quality prior to sending for interpretation
- Explain examination and procedures to patients and complete departmental documentation
Requirements
- Associate’s degree in Radiologic Sciences or Trade school certification
- ARRT MR certification/licensure
- 1 year of X-ray experience (for cross-training purposes)
