About the Role

Provide quality MRI Imaging to patients under the direction of a supervising physician with adherence to the required protocol standards. The Advanced Imaging Center at Sentara Greenbrier HealthPlex offers a convenient, modern option for outpatient radiology procedures, featuring the latest technology and staff radiologists with sub-specialist expertise. Responsibilities

• Administer MRI contrast per protocol.
• Evaluate and approve patient MRI safety screening forms prior to the patient entering the scanner.
• Demonstrate knowledge of MRI safety zones and other safety regulations.
• Review patient records for accuracy and evaluate all implants and devices through vendor resources.
• Act as a liaison with physicians and supportive care personnel.
• Maintain patient records, reports, and files.
• Perform patient MRI exams per protocol and review imaging for accuracy and quality prior to sending for interpretation.
• Explain examinations and procedures to patients and complete departmental documentation.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in Radiologic Sciences or Trade school certification.
• ARRT MR certification/licensure.
• 1 year of X-ray experience (for cross-training purposes).
