MRI Tech-Outpatient
About the role
Performs all MRI procedures and maintains a thorough working knowledge of the operation of all equipment in the MRI area. Safely operates the scanner and injector in order to produce diagnostic quality MR images. Understands the computer software of the MR scanners and maintains competency in MR area. Consistently applies working knowledge pertaining to MR anatomy and patho-physiology to produce a high standard of quality images while under the direction of a radiologist. Provides appropriate and safe patient care. Works positively with all customers to promote patient, employee, and physician satisfaction. Participates in performance improvement initiatives. Performs venipuncture for appropriate exams. May transport non-narcotic medications as directed.

Requirements
- Education: Graduation of JRCERT Accredited or ARRT approved Radiography or MRI degree program.
- Experience: No experience required. Radiology or MRI degree graduates accepted.
- Certification: BLS (American Heart Association/Basic Life Support) required.
- Licenses: Florida Radiologic Technologist License for radiology techs only. MRI degree for non-radiology techs or AMRIT Registry.
- Other: ARRT Registered or eligible required.
