Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality MRI exams in a timely manner
- Maintain a strong understanding of MRI safety protocols, including those related to research workflows
- Interact positively with multiple patient populations
- Serve as a member of the interdisciplinary patient care team
- Flexibility is essential, as the position may require on-call availability and holiday coverage
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Minimum Education: Graduate from ARRT accredited MRI educational program OR Graduate from ARMRIT accredited MRI education program
- Required Licenses: ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT at hire (Preferred) OR ARRT in one of these Radiography (R)/Nuclear Medicine (N)/Radiation Therapy (T)/ Sonography (S) required and get ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT within 24 months of hire date
- Current BLS required
- Required Skills: Proficient in operating an MRI scanner and adjusting imaging parameters, Well-versed and compliant in MRI safety and understands research workflow for MRI safety requirements, Patient positioning & comfort while ensuring patient safety, Emergency response, Attention to detail, Critical thinking and problem-solving, Time management, Empathy and patient care, The ability to work independently and work well with team members
- Essential Functions: Perform MRI Examinations, Ensure Patient Safety and Comfort, Administration of Contrast Media, Maintain MRI Equipment and Safety Standards, Collaboration with multi-disciplinary health care team, Document and Manage Patient Information, Research of Implantable Devices for MRI Compatibility, Adhere to Compliance and Regulatory Standards, Assist with Workflow and Operational Efficiency
