About the role
Up to $20,000 sign-on bonus based on eligibility. The purpose of this position is to provide MRI scan examinations to patients of all ages. Technologists provide patient care services using MRI imaging, including assessing the patient’s condition, operating equipment, proficiency in PACS, preparing examination rooms, and maintaining equipment, supplies, and medications. Technologists are also required to maintain necessary patient records and participate in the departmental Performance Improvement Program. Night and weekend call is required when scheduled.
Responsibilities
- Maintain confidentiality and communicate special needs to physician immediately.
- Transfer patient to exam table; ensure proper covering of patient according to policy and procedure.
- Arrange, attach, or adjust immobilization and support devices according to procedure, ensuring limitation of patient movement.
- Assess patient’s condition and determine proper breathing instructions and exposure factors.
- Complete all procedures scheduled during the shift without interference to the quality of work; coordinate schedule with other technologists to provide steady workflow.
- Perform related duties as required.
Requirements
- Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technology program with an Associate’s degree or equivalent.
- Registered with ARRT.
- American Heart Association BLS CPR required, must be obtained within 7 days of hire.
- 1 to 2 years of job-related experience preferred.
- MR certification preferred.
