Responsibilities
- Utilize the resonant frequency properties of atoms within a magnetic field to image anatomic and/or physiologic conditions of the body to assist physicians in the diagnosis of disease
- Perform diagnostic magnetic resonance examinations in accordance with all prescribed standards under the direct guidance of the supervising Radiologist
- Provide patient care to all age groups including neonatal, pediatrics, adult, and geriatrics
- Adhere to all safety requirements for magnetic safety
- Demonstrate ability to perform advanced MR imaging procedures and be competent/proficient with cross-sectional anatomy and physiology
- Provide more complex technical care necessary to meet identified patient needs
Qualifications
Education: Graduate of an AMA approved Radiologic Technology Program or Graduate of JRCERT accredited hospital-based training program
Work Experience: 1 year experience as an MRI Technologist
Licenses and Certifications:
- ARRT Radiography Certification – Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology in Radiography (R) (MR) – Upon Hire
- Advanced certification by the ARRT in MRI (MR) – Upon Hire
- BCLS – Basic Life Support – Upon Hire
