Responsibilities

• Obtain quality MRI images of patients while complying with ACR safety guidelines.
• Operate MRI equipment safely, including screening all patients for contraindications.
• Demonstrate the ability to perform all necessary computer operations.
• Render patient care in a professional and courteous manner.
• Prepare patients for exams, collecting relevant information for completion of procedures.
• Prepare MRI scanner and perform quality control tests.
• Administer contrast media as required.
• Review each exam for technical accuracy and identify anatomical orientation on all images.
• Complete and maintain educational requirements.
• Participate in Department QA, including image quality and timely results.
• Ensure patient safety, including cleaning the bore of the magnet as required.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiological Technology or MRI (Required).
• Minimum one year as MRI Technologist (Preferred).
• ARRT (R)(MR) registered or ARMRIT certified within 12 months of hire date (Required).
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (Required).
