Responsibilities
- Obtain quality MRI images of patients while complying with ACR safety guidelines.
- Operate MRI equipment safely, including screening all patients for contraindications.
- Demonstrate the ability to perform all necessary computer operations.
- Render patient care in a professional and courteous manner.
- Prepare patients for exams, collecting relevant information for completion of procedures.
- Prepare MRI scanner and perform quality control tests.
- Administer contrast media as required.
- Review each exam for technical accuracy and identify anatomical orientation on all images.
- Complete and maintain educational requirements.
- Participate in Department QA, including image quality and timely results.
- Ensure patient safety, including cleaning the bore of the magnet as required.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of Radiological Technology or MRI (Required).
- Minimum one year as MRI Technologist (Preferred).
- ARRT (R)(MR) registered or ARMRIT certified within 12 months of hire date (Required).
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (Required).
