Responsibilities

• Establishes, oversees, and coordinates imaging services for patients and procedures to ensure efficient operation of the imaging department.
• Interacts collaboratively with radiologists, imaging staff, and other sectional staff and supervisors.
• Facilitates day-to-day functions of the imaging department, ensuring smooth patient workflow.
• Verifies order/prescription validity and obtains current lab values when necessary.
• Assists radiology, MRI, CT, nuclear medicine, or ultrasound technologists with transporting patients.
• Prepares paperwork by asking patients screening questions prior to procedures and ensures the procedure order matches the procedure to be completed.
• Prepares room and non-sterile trays as needed to assist technologists.
• Informs technologist of any question responses that could interfere with MRI magnet safety for the patient while assisting in the MRI suite.
• Ensures MRI safety procedures are followed at all times in all security zones.
• Demonstrates knowledge of basic imaging terminology and procedures.
• Provides exceptional customer service through phone etiquette, face-to-face interaction, clear communication, active listening, and compassion.
• Provides clerical support, including proficient use of computers, copiers, and other office equipment.
• Performs other duties as assigned within scope of skill set.

Qualifications

• Previous MRI/hospital experience preferred.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Knowledge of medical/radiology terminology preferred.
• BCLS certification upon hire and maintain current.

Full Time, Variable Shift
