Pay Range: $35.50 - $53.25
Essential Functions
- Performs MRI exams and procedures using skilled techniques and demonstrates appropriate knowledge of field strength and practice of safe entry in the magnetic field.
- Performs CT exams and procedures demonstrating expertise in limiting radiation exposure to participants and other members of the research team.
- Adheres to study established scanning protocols.
- Dispenses and administers doses of contrast material according to approved methods.
- Records and maintains records according to state and federal guidelines.
- Ensures efficient and proper functioning of equipment by performing quality control checks at the beginning of each work day and reporting equipment malfunctions to appropriate personnel.
- Prepares necessary supplies and/or set-up of equipment to prepare for scheduled procedures.
- Maintains a knowledge of appropriate procedures for age- and species-specific techniques.
- Explains procedures to patients to allay concerns or fears.
- Positions patient or animal properly for procedures.
- Maintains competence by regularly updating knowledge as appropriate.
