MRI Imaging Assistant
Job Summary
Aids inpatient care team and provides healthcare services including in-room patient identification, modality-specific check-in, exam review, preparation, patient education, and exam assistance. Trained in various equipment, computers, and software. Assists with exams on diverse age groups and performs patient assessments.
About the Role
Resolves conflicts and endures a dynamic work environment. Assists with exams on adults, geriatric patients, adolescents, and pediatric age groups. Performs patient assessment within scope of practice.
Requirements
- Obtain ARRT Imaging Assistant-Magnetic Resonance certification within 2.5 years of employment.
- Must be 18+ years old with a high school diploma or GED.
- Must meet ARRT's ethics requirements.
- Must complete structured continuing education (CE) and clinical tasks.
- Must be verified by an ARRT certified and registered technologist.
- Must finish all requirements within 24 months of applying.
- Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross is required.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of medical terminology and medical office procedures preferred.
