MRI/CT Technologist (FT)

About the role

MRI/CT Technologists are responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures using Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) and Computed Tomography (CT) technology. They ensure patient safety and comfort throughout the procedure.

Responsibilities

  • Perform MRI and CT scans accurately and efficiently according to established protocols.
  • Ensure proper patient positioning and alignment during imaging procedures.
  • Monitor patient vital signs and respond to any emergencies or adverse reactions promptly.
  • Prepare and administer contrast media as needed, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
  • Document patient information and imaging results accurately and timely.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to interpret images and provide reports.
  • Adhere to infection control and sterilization guidelines.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and hospital policies.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology.
  • Associates Degree in applied sciences is required.
  • MRI – Must be MRI registered with ARRT or have on the job training with clinical experience and be registered or registry eligible within one year of training.
  • CT – Must be registered with ARRT as a Radiologic Technologist to be eligible for on the job training with clinical experience in Computed Tomography (CT).
  • Current in BLS certification.

Qualifications

  • Close attention to detail of procedures, technique, positioning and contrast media side effects is required at all times.
  • Ability to work unsupervised and capability for quick decision making.
  • Frequent or prolonged standing, sitting, stooping and bending.
  • Normal (or corrected) vision and hearing for assessing film quality and telephone communication.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $45,000 - $60,000 annually, commensurate with experience.

Schedule

The schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM.
