MRF Maintenance Mechanic I

Responsibilities

• Perform the routine inspections and maintenance of the sorting lines to ensure safe and efficient operations as directed by the Lead MRF Maintenance Mechanic.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any equipment issues with the equipment and complete any facility maintenance tasks as directed by the Lead MRF Maintenance Mechanic.
• Routinely collaborate with other departments to improve processes and safety standards at the facility.

Required and Preferred Qualifications (Skills, Education and Experience)

• A High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• Minimum three plus years prior experience in industrial maintenance, mechanic shop or fabrication shop.
• Experience in a Material Recovery Facility or similar environment preferred.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills preferred.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to lift 50lbs.
• Ability and willingness to work in outdoor environments with exposure to varying weather conditions, dust, odors, noise, and other environmental factors.
• Ability to follow directions and learn new tasks.
