Responsibilities
- Helping people with mental health problems
- Supporting those recovering from addictions
- Assisting persons with learning difficulties
- Caring for people with disabilities
- Communicating frequently with patients to identify their needs
- Making and adhering to appointments with patients' physicians
- Safeguarding the well-being and safety of patients under care
- Ensuring patients have access to their medication at all times
- Interacting respectfully with patients and their relatives
- Keeping all patient-related matters confidential
- Extending support/care periods as needed
- Notifying the patient's physician and family in case of serious side effects or health issues
Requirements
- Good communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills to identify patient needs
- Compassion and patience in performing duties
- Flexibility in work patterns and schedules
- Ability to work independently without constant supervision
- High level of trust and honesty
- Excellent problem-solving abilities
