Movement Practitioner

Overview

Tampa Bay is home to a growing Muslim diaspora from dozens of nations, representing hundreds of millions globally, many from restricted countries. This role exists to prayerfully engage these communities with the Gospel. You will prayer-walk and build relationships in real-world spaces like campuses, restaurants, and parks. Through abiding in Christ, you’ll share the good news, start Discovery Bible Groups, and gather them into new churches. You will often be the first Christian they’ve met even if they’ve lived here a long time.

Who is this for?

This role is for followers of Jesus who actively abide in Him and are ready to walk in surrendered obedience. Whether full-time, part-time, or volunteer, this is for those who are strong in prayer, bold in Gospel witness and hungry to see disciples made among Muslims.

Team

Movement Practitioners will team with local Strategy Coordinators who are stewarding work among various gaps of lostness. Additionally, they will be equipped to build and catalyze their own team in a specific mission segment.

Equipping Practitioners

• Trained in simple, reproducible tools like 411, DBS, and contextual ways to share the Gospel and start disciple-making groups.
• Equip others in disciple making.
• Participate in and help lead training to equip others in disciple making.
• Participate in problem-solving meetings to sharpen their practice.

Time Commitment

• Volunteer: 3-5 hrs/week
• Part-Time: 10-20 hrs/week
• Full-Time: 20-40 hrs/week
