Responsibilities
- Organize and conduct both group and private bike lessons for guests in accordance with the guidelines established by resort
- Demonstrate and communicate proper mountain biking techniques
- Further promote and act as a role model in the area of the biker responsibility code, safety and risk awareness as prescribed by resort's safety policies
- Be familiar with and adhere to the policies and procedures of the resort Handbook and the resort Bike Shop Manual
- Aid the biking public whenever possible
- Aid the bike shop with daily rentals/returns and basic bike maintenance procedures
- Contribute to team effort by participating in Job Sharing, assuming responsibility for the cleanliness of the resort, proper care of equipment, and safety of guests and employees
- Participate in safety meetings
- Accept diverse assignments
- Maintain a positive and friendly attitude and demeanor in all internal and external interactions
- Meet service level objectives and department goals as set forth by immediate supervisor
Qualifications
- To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
- The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively within a professional manner.
- Basic Math Skills Are Required.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding and to solve practical problems.
