Mountain Bike Instructor | Full Time Seasonal

Responsibilities

• Organize and conduct both group and private bike lessons for guests in accordance with the guidelines established by resort
• Demonstrate and communicate proper mountain biking techniques
• Further promote and act as a role model in the area of the biker responsibility code, safety and risk awareness as prescribed by resort's safety policies
• Be familiar with and adhere to the policies and procedures of the resort Handbook and the resort Bike Shop Manual
• Aid the biking public whenever possible
• Aid the bike shop with daily rentals/returns and basic bike maintenance procedures
• Contribute to team effort by participating in Job Sharing, assuming responsibility for the cleanliness of the resort, proper care of equipment, and safety of guests and employees
• Participate in safety meetings
• Accept diverse assignments
• Maintain a positive and friendly attitude and demeanor in all internal and external interactions
• Meet service level objectives and department goals as set forth by immediate supervisor

Qualifications

• To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively within a professional manner.
• Basic Math Skills Are Required.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding and to solve practical problems.
