Position Overview

The Assistant Store Manager is responsible for leading the store to deliver outstanding customer service, meeting all operational objectives, and following company policies and procedures. This role also includes performing the duties of a Customer Service Representative and assisting the Store Manager in various store operations.

Job Responsibilities

  • Maintain exemplary customer service within the store and build strong customer relationships.
  • Establish a strong customer service culture within the store.
  • Aid the Store Manager in implementing strategies to meet store goals and objectives.
  • Aid the Store Manager in recruiting, developing, and motivating store team members to exceed customer expectations.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Perform the responsibilities of a Customer Service Representative, including transaction processing, cash drawer maintenance, and cash handling procedures.
  • Analyze financial statements and trends to increase sales and maximize profits.
  • Market the store within the community to increase market share and store revenues.
  • Resolve customer complaints to enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Manage the store's schedule, cash, and store audits.
  • Review and understand Operations Bulletins, News communications, and training materials.
  • Help maintain a clean and welcoming store environment for both customers and team members.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

  • A minimum of one year of management experience in industries such as hospitality, financial services, retail, and restaurant.
  • Ability, willingness, and confidence to engage with customers.
  • A strong desire to exceed company initiatives and inspire excellence in a team.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • A high-energy, collaborative management style.
  • A professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Able to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • English fluency is required; English/Spanish bilingual is a plus.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to stand for extended periods.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 lbs. with little assistance.
  • Must be able to work in restrictive spaces and maintain concentration in a busy environment with moderate to high noise levels.
  • Must manage several tasks at one time and handle frequent interruptions to meet customer needs and requests.
