About the role
Motor Rewind Technicians at Tripp Electric Motors are integral to our repair operation. They inspect, diagnose, rewind, repair, and test a variety of electromechanical equipment, adhering to EASA standards and maintaining high-quality workmanship.
Responsibilities
- Inspect and diagnose various electromechanical equipment for damage and electrical malfunctions.
- Test the condition of windings according to EASA Standards and document all relevant data.
- Dismantle and strip damaged or unserviceable equipment, prepare reusable parts, and inspect renewed parts for structural damage.
- Rewire and repair single-phase, three-phase, DC fields, armatures, wound rotors, and transformers, ensuring proper insulation techniques.
- Operate specialized repair and testing equipment, complete paperwork accurately, and adhere to safety procedures.
- Operate burnout ovens, VPI systems, winding machines, and other specialized equipment as needed.
- Document all test results and maintain a clean, organized work area.
Requirements
- Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to learn and retain technical procedures.
- Attention to detail and patience for precision work.
- Reliability, safety consciousness, and commitment to quality workmanship.
- A high school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Prior experience in electric motor rewind, electromechanical repair, or a related trade is a plus.
- Familiarity with EASA Standards and experience operating burnout ovens, VPI systems, winding machines, or similar equipment.
- Forklift or overhead crane operation experience is beneficial.
