Motor Development Specialist

About the role

The Motor Development Specialist position at Merakey in Coraopolis, PA supports individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD). This role implements gross motor and sensory motor skills provided by OTs and PTs, and provides ongoing training and monitoring for staff.

Responsibilities

• Implement gross motor and sensory motor skills as directed by OTs and PTs
• Provide ongoing training and monitoring for staff in areas such as feeding textures, mealtime procedures, lifting, transfers, wheelchair usage, mobility, and splinting procedures

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Preferred: Experience
• Position requires a valid and current Driver's License

Pay

$20.00/hour with the option of the Enhanced Pay Option
