About The Role
We are seeking a talented Video Editor & Motion Designer to become a vital part of our internal creative team. This hybrid role requires a professional with a strong creative vision and technical expertise, primarily focusing on motion design (60%) and video editing (40%). The successful candidate will be responsible for crafting compelling visual stories that highlight our cutting-edge technology solutions. These narratives will range from 3D device reveals and UI/UX simulations to cinematic brand films, all aimed at engaging diverse audiences across various platforms. The role involves translating conceptual ideas into captivating visual content, adhering to brand guidelines, and collaborating closely with product experts, senior leadership, and global marketing teams. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating creativity, adaptability, and a passion for storytelling that aligns with Motorola Solutions' mission to promote safety and security worldwide.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Arts, Digital Media, Communication, Marketing, or a related field
- Minimum of 6+ years of professional experience in a post-production house, agency, or high-end in-house creative department
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly After Effects and Premiere Pro
- Deep understanding of UI/UX animation, 3D camera tracking, and integration of motion assets into live-action environments
- Experience with 3D applications such as Cinema 4D and Blender, including lighting, tracking, and rendering
- Strong ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Excellent organizational skills and familiarity with software tools like Figma, Frame.io, and GSuite
- Proven ability to produce animated videos, motion graphics, and curated pitch decks
- Advanced storytelling skills through storyboarding complex video and motion narratives
- Superior communication and project management skills
- High energy, motivation, and a desire to learn and excel
- Demo reel or portfolio demonstrating advanced motion graphics, animation, and editing skills
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
Responsibilities
- Translate concepts into compelling visual storytelling through motion graphics and video editing
- Create visually engaging narratives that are easy to understand and align with brand guidelines
- Collaborate with team members to ensure consistency across all video and motion projects
- Curate and produce authentic stories using raw footage and real subject matter sensitively and ethically
- Master pacing, rhythm, and emotional tone to evoke empathy, build tension, or drive viewer engagement
- Design and animate UI/UX simulations, 3D device reveals, and cinematic brand films
- Explore innovative ways to tell brand stories through video content and conceptualize complex ideas with storyboards
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to meet project deadlines and quality standards
- Research and curate content for pitch decks and presentation materials
- Stay updated on social platform requirements to optimize content for various digital channels
- Maintain organized digital files and assets for efficient workflow across departments
