Mosquito Technician Make up to 22 per Hour
About the Role
Join Mosquito & Pest Authority as a Mosquito Control Technician and help families enjoy their outdoor spaces by protecting them from mosquitoes, ticks, fleas, and other pests. This seasonal, full-time position offers paid training, competitive pay, and the opportunity to work outdoors while making a real impact in the Richmond, VA area.
Responsibilities
- Apply mosquito control treatments to residential and commercial properties.
- Safely operate backpack sprayers and other application equipment.
- Drive a company vehicle between service appointments.
- Communicate professionally with customers before and after each service.
- Inspect properties and identify conditions that contribute to mosquito activity.
- Follow all company safety procedures and pesticide label requirements.
- Complete service documentation using company software.
- Keep equipment and company vehicles clean and organized.
- Represent Mosquito & Pest Authority professionally at every customer interaction.

Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 60 pounds.
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat and humidity.
- Ability to walk on uneven terrain and stand for extended periods.
- Strong work ethic with dependable attendance.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Work Environment
This position is performed primarily outdoors at residential and commercial properties. Technicians regularly work in varying weather conditions and use handheld application equipment throughout the day.
Pay
$18.00–$22.00 per hour (Good-Faith Compensation Range for Virginia). Additional earnings through performance bonuses and incentive opportunities based on individual and team performance.
Schedule
Monday–Friday with occasional Saturdays during peak season, based on business needs. Daytime hours. Seasonal role running from March through October.
